I’m often asked what life is like now that I don’t smoke.
To say the least, it has been liberating, not to mention all of the money I have been saving. I have to say, one of the most noticeable things is that I do not get as winded as I used to. I have small children and running after them or playing with them used to get the best of me.
Another thing I noticed, is my wife is a bit more frisky! My wife, who has never been a smoker, says I am just more pleasant to snuggle with now that I don’t smell like an ashtray. Hmm, I guess I never noticed that odor that used to permeate my every pore. When you have smoke constantly flowing through your nose and lungs all the time, you just never noticed how bad it smells. Now that I don’t smoke, however, I can barely stand to be around people who do. Not that I don’t like them, I just can’t stand the smell anymore.
Yes, life is definitely different now since I quit smoking. I would say for the better.
